If you purchased the original Microcosmos Microscope, your microscope came with achromatic objectives. Our standard base achromatic objectives are great for microscopy, but due to the nature of the lenses, they display a curved image which results in the edges of the field of view being slightly distorted and out of focus. The plan objectives produce a flat image across the field of view, resulting in an overall sharper image.

These plan achromatic microscope objectives fit The Microcosmos Microscope as well as other DIN-standard compound microscopes. With the 10x/18mm widefield eyepieces on the Microcosmos Microscope, these objectives will give you 40x, 100x, 400x, and (with oil immersion) 1000x magnification.
